Thread: Second hand optics and Warranties

Looking at possibly getting some new binos, wondering what's the story with non-transferable warranties when buying second hand? I know quite a lot of companies don't have transferable warranties, not sure what that means as too the no-fault workmanship warranty, if they need repairing what the difference in attitude they would have between the original owner and the new owner?

As I have never kept the recept for anything ever I would be severely pissed off if something with a good warranty was refused.
Any decent name brand will repair replace no matter if you are the 25th owner or the first.

Non tranfurable warrnty spimley means if you buy it 2nd hand you will get told to f off buy for example leupold's warrnty is lifetime on the product not the owner so it dosn't matter if your the 100th owner and the product is 30 years old if it breaks they will fix or replace with modden equlevent i sent an old varix 2 in as was no longer holding zero and they fixed it free of charge i had to pay return shipping from usa though
