Overkill is still dead.
I was enjoying this thread and got some good information but now not so much.
Just...say...the...word
So are those that have not registered their firearms because they have not had an activating event yet.
Apart from that it is both sad and funny to see people believing they will get to retain their freedoms and rights if they just comply hard enough. Reminds me of much "kinder" times...
Back to the second hand rifle market: Is there a bonus payment for registering your firearms? Because I am failing to see how otherwise people would be able to buy more items that they do not need, just because they registered early...
Are all the economic woes going away once every legal firearm is in a database? Are prices for necessities coming down? How so?
I wasn't talking about economics. I was talking about registering firearms.
I'm not pretending to be at peace, I'm actively choosing it. Try it, or just stay agrieved
Wow, this got wildly off track. Who cares what decisions other people make.... I'm happy with my own decisions.
Go shoot some pests fellas
First tell me if you think the registry is going to make you safer.
I did not say people who have registered (I have) are dilusional.
I implied that people who think the registry will make them safer are dilusional.
No one has produced sound evidence that registering firearms has had a positive impact on crime stats.
Overkill is still dead.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
The registry is just something I need to comply with and has no function of safety apart from helping prevent licensed holders buying and selling to non licensed holders.
Gun crime is almost all committed by unlicensed users.
If I had some spare disposable income available, second hand rifles are way down on the bottom "want" list, registry or not. What is more desirable presently is updating and/or adding more thermals that would go on top of all my existing safe fillers.
