    Shop around for ammo

Same box of ammo cost $10 more at GC than H&F down the road. I got caught out. In my defence, a) it's hard to find ammo so jumped on it and b) I can't believe H&F had it in stock and were actually cheaper than another store. If H&F had a decent website, they might get a bit more business. Anyway, lesson learnt, it pays to shop or at least phone around.

I really struggle to understand why a nation-wide franchise have such a dog balls puke of a website to navigate through...

How did the rifle shopping go?
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Bit disappointing. Looked in Fish City as I was there anyway, GC and H&F. No Kimbers to be seen. Did get to fondle a Bergara BA13 .308 stainless with 16.5 inch barrel. Nearly bought it on the spot ($100 cheaper in GC than H&F!), but can't decide whether that's the one or go for another bolt action. I'm not normally indecisive. Now I've stocked up on expensive 300BLK rounds, there is less urgency. I'd be reasonably confident taking the 300BLK for a deer hunt in the right circumstances.

My mate has one. Liked it more than the Tikka in terms of ergonomics, but if I go bolt action, I want something lighter.

Humpers and Fisters and Gun Shitty must be the two dearest pleaces to buy ammo and reloading components! You would think with their nationwide network and buying power the would be able to offee the best prices! Instead I have found the small independent dealers to look after their customers and offer the sharpest prices.

love how gun City has "from" on some of there prices. I went fishing to the back of a stack of tins and wouldn't you know it, behind the new improved prices was the 10 dollar cheaper tins of same pellets, and got 4 of them for that price.

Glad to say I've never bought a firearm from either.
