    Sightron S-TAC Scopes

Looking at getting a new long range scope, the price on these seem very good and reviews put them just under the S3 range.
Does anyone have any experience with these and whats your opinion of them ?

    Cheers.

I have a 3-16 and all seems good. I haven't seen enough scopes to compare glass quality. Has heaps of eye relief and tracks well at 100m tests.

    I have an S-TAC 2.5-17x56 on my AR15
I like it - nice glass, good tracking, amazing for long distance hare shooting at night.

Thanks guys, looks like the S3 are built outta Japan and the S-Tac outta Philippines.
The S-Tac seem to have excellent reviews with the glass only a fraction behind the S3.

Sent reloaders an inquiry, see what happens

reticle is really fine - and has a centre illuminated dot with no flare.
Put red dot on hares head, pull trigger. Makes spotlighting so easy!
Can barely see crosshairs at night - they are super fine.

The 2.5-17 one like gerbs has is Japanese I think and is more expensive (see deadeye dicks)
I imported my 3-16 from eurooptics and didn't incur any GST (by oversight no doubt)
