I've got a SIIISS 8-32x56 MD with Milrad on a .300RUM and so far its been OK. I've compared it with a Leupold Mk4 8.5-25x50 and a Nightforce 5.5-22x56 on similar power settings. When comparing them looking at newsprint at 50m I'd rate them, 1st Nightforce, very closely followed by the Sightron and then the Leupold. The Nightforce has the nicest feeling adjustments of the three. One thing that did anoy me with the Sightron was that when I went to unscrew the supplied sunshade the first time, the front ring around the lense also unscrewedKind of lost a bit of confidence in the build quality at that point but so far that is my only complaint. If I had to buy another Sightron I think I'd probably go for the 6-24x50. The 8-32 is a big scope and if there is the slightest bit of mirage I find the high power settings are useless. I guess that's the price you pay for the higher magnification.
The Big Sky Sightrons are between the SII and SIII
