Single shot scope mounting

ive got a one piece like in one of timattalons pics if I can find it you can have it if you want

that loopy will go with a bakail like apple pie and french vanilla ice cream....

Nice one. Just bumping this from ages ago...do you know of any particular red dot that works well with a Baikal dovetail? Shooting out to 250m?

Red dot and 250metets don't go in same sentence....

I would suggest having a pic rail machined to fit over the Baikal dovetail to cover it, and screwed down with maybe 3 screws. It will help gain some height for your red dot as most of them sit lower than your average scope. I've shot some very small groups with a red dot at 100 metres, would be happy to use it to 200 if needed. Just gotta make sure your dot is big enough to see, yet small enough to be accurate at the range you wanta shoot. The one I was using was 2moa.

This is zeroing my 308 Henry with a Holosun. 2 moa dot, so you have to match the target to the dot, but capable of reasonable accuracy. Target was shot at 50m.
