About LinkBacks7.62X39 will develop most of it's velocity (which is sweet fuck all) in a pretty short barrel. The only advantage I see with a 20" tube would be the longer sight radius when using irons. Have a look around before diving into it. There are meant to be some sub-$2K AR15's coming in, saving up for one of them might be a bit more appealing
