the remmy triggers arnt too bad, if it is an x-mark pro it will never change
for the purpose of this rifle it wont need too much done bar shortening and threading, if it all turns to shit iv got a 7mm08 barrel ill fit and it will be back to factory
this is more of an experement, and yes it will wear a suppressor
Short barrels are bloody hard on suppressors, the heat & pressure is much more violent.

Righto Gimp, here's the info:
Q: What weight did they end up ? Complete rifle, minus optics and supressor ?
A: Not quite finished yet but almost. So far with only a short barrel to go they weigh 2lb 11oz. Bout a month away till I have five finished.
Q: So that is for the stock/chassis and action ? You still expecting the full rifle to come in at around 4.5 lbs ?
A: Yep that's for the whole rifle minus trigger and barrel, no chassis on my design. With a shorter barrel they should come in at around 4lb.

None of that makes any sense to me.. or I must be missing something
A full rifle is 4.5lb.. but thats no trigger or barrel.. so its 1/2 a rifle???
and if you go shorter barrel the 4.5lb becomes 4 lb.. but 4.5lb was with no barrel???
How is it light weight when a factory syn stock and action is the same weight?

Yeah.. you're missing something I think. To my reading, the comment "Yep that's for the whole rifle minus trigger and barrel, no chassis on my design." is in reply to the first half of that question, which was confirming what he included in the 2lb 11oz in the first question.
So, Everything less trigger and barrel - 2lb 11oz.
Entire bare rifle, 4-4.5lb, depending on barrel length.
I find rifles work better with both triggers and barrels
So 4lb plus scope and rings and suppressor? Thats pretty good
You guys know how much he wants for one?
Scott said they were going to go for a bit over $3k when selling but that was a month ago - they feel good. If I was in the market for a new hunt rifle I'd certainly be keen, makes mine feel like an anvil.
If only he did them in 6.5x47Lapua.
