Smile Swap out bergara B14 7m prc trigger ?

    hi,
I have a Bergara in 7mm prc . the trigger is adjustable but not as low as i want to go to .
So , the question is to any other who might have changed out the original trigger to what ever. What did you do ?
Now i have used Jard and Timney for other rifles and they were fine , but this time around, i am looking for opinion and information from anyone who has already done this to the Bergara . Maybe its another brand thats right for this rwm 700 clone , this time .
So , i prefer very little creep/travel and then a crisp low weight pull , and i am aware of what is avaliable around the traps . But i have come here to see what others may have done , and maybe someone in the forum is the trigger guy, has got what i need and i could do a deal .
One last note , i am not really keen on stoning the engaging parts of the existing trigger or swapping springs etc , prefere to keep the trigger original , and put another in instead .
    Any offers or advice ?
    cheers
    les

Been down this road 2x Timney both times were more than adequate. The factory Bergara trigger is designed to not be easily modified so don't even waste any time thinking about it. Of the two Timney trigger I had I preferred the straight blade but that's a personal preference.
I'm sure what ever you get will be a significant upgrade from the factory trigger so pick one with a pull weight you like Timney, trigger tech, jard, etc etc

I've had the highest grade triggertech and Bixn'andy, but I much prefer the Timney Calvin elite, I dont run my triggers super light, usually round the 700-750gm mark and find that the Timneys let-off at that weight has the most consistent feel.

Borrow a rifle with each and try them, or try your gunsmith for a loaner . . . .

Apologies for going off topic to your question. I've been looking to buy a 7mm PRC for awhile now, isn't a huge amount of reviews here in NZ. How are you finding it so far? Also a big fan of the Bergara B14 Crest and would be my rifle of preference.
