    Tikka vs Remington vs Savage

I have way to much free time on my hands at the moment, had have found myself once again annoying Americans on other gun forums (one of my favourite hobbies).

Based on a few argument's recently, If you were in the market for a new hunting rifle, what would you get.
Was mainly interested in the three listed, and was thinking all being each manufactures equivalent of a Tikka Lite SS.

I'm not at all in the market for a new rifle, but hopefully will be in the near future and am pretty set on another Tikka.

Mainly made this thread to get a bit of banter, but hey I might learn something too

The Tikka has a more stiffer stock out of the factory than the Remington. But, the Remington currently offers a wider selections of upgrades. But more options are becoming available for the Tikka's especially in the US.

I don't know much about the Savage, but any of these will see you will i think. This includes the Winchester as Neckshot mentioned.

What ever feels right when you raise it to your shoulder is the one!

    Sako, tho over priced here.
Tikka second choice, very good value for money.
    Savage.
Dont like Remington myself tho they are probably the best option if you intend to customize.

+1 on the x bolt. Even though I own a Ruger and I dont own any of the above. It 'feels' the best imo and from all reports ive heard doesnt need any work straight outta the box.

Sako would certainly be up the top but way out of the price range.

Now a a CZ 527 or 550 was something I over looked, pretty much the same price range but an extremely beautiful rifle.
My fiancees dad owns one, I really should ask if I can borrow it, along with his Anschutz 22.

Interesting that Savage seems to be popular but no one has said why yet......

Which ever one you like best...they all do a similar job. I've got a few of each, but mainly use the Rem700 with no complaints

I like the Savages... people may have noticed. Haven't tried the Browning, but have used Tikkas and Remingtons and definitely prefer Savage. Best trigger, 3-stage tang safety, smooth strong action, top class accuracy.

All of them will do the job though, the choice is mostly what you like the feel of and what fits you. I like my Ruger too because its such a good fit and balance, even though the action isn't as nice.

CZ 527 American .223 Right Hand

Not too much more, pretty much same price as a wooden stock Tikka T3.
I almost brought a 527 Kevlar instead of my Tikka, too this day I wonder what it would've been like, was the same price accept the Tikka had free rings.
I love my Tikka in every way, but have always had the what if thought.
