Treating the stock on a rifle

Hey guys and gals have just built a rifle for my boys just wondering how you go about treating the stock?
What sort of wood protection etc?

I'll get a pic up soon

    Cheers in advance. Dundee

sand it back to bare wood then rub the tru oil into it, you may want to grab some love gloves out of the milking shed while using the tru oil too it'll make your fingers go sticky.

Obviously easier to fit another stock than do a stock job.(the "famous .22)
