    Tripod

What is a good entry level tripod for a spotting scope in NZ?
Alloy is fine. prefer one with out the middle pole type that adjust up and down.
    Simple and steady
Also a quick realize base plate.
Think am on the right track
Really like the leupold type tripod but out off my budget.

Do you want to be sitting or standing?

If you want to stand, and you want a compact tripod in its carry mode, you will likely need to go for one with an adjustable center tube. If you are sitting, you will find more options in the travel tripod ranges.

For a little over NZ$275 including delivery and GST, you could do much worse... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001609653198.html

The brand Artcise has a really good reputation too. See this review on fstoppers... https://fstoppers.com/gear/our-new-f...-tested-198935

Yup totally agree on the artcise they are brilliant. I have the cs60c I think and very happy with it, even better was that ol China managed to get it to my doorstep in 5 0r 6 working days which is a damn site faster than nzpost can get an overnight courier package from Auckland to North Canterbury

    Hey,

Ive hear good things about these for a spotter https://store.sirui.com/products/t04...uid-video-head

I have a Sirui AM225 that I was going to sell. Nice and compact, and light. Bought it from Photogear a year ago, but have recently sold my camera so no use for it. $250 pm if you're interested

Does it work with a flush cup or that silly protruding mount?
