My last 700 that had the barrel off was sweet (SF2 Action) - dropped it off to Mitch to be done while I was overseas - checked it - wasnt worth setting up on the machine.
Gun shoots under 1/2", and thats prob about as good as I can shoot a big magnum anyways

700s for eg there is a big difference in quality between say a Sendero and SPS as far as fit and finish goes

How did he check it with out setting it up in the machine?

An finish yes difference they are polished, fit sometimes not have seen my share of them that where no different to standard spss.
