There is plenty of good info in the interweb. You just have to turn on your personal fact/fiction web filter. The controls are located somewhere between the left and right ears, roughly speaking.

Even if Soro's bought out Marlin it wouldnt matter without legislation. ie there are lots of other companies and more would replace them. Take Bushmaster, Remington? bought them and shipped the production to its main factory, a few years later Windham started up making good AR's on the same site. So really if Soro's did buy his money could be used to restart a new company a bit later.
