Na I imported it from Canada. The BCG looked like it was made out of Damascus steel, but it never failed. I still have the instruction booklet somewhere, is hilarious reading.

what's going on with the order in the coming shipment, pay in full or 20% deposit? lost communication with DM.
Hah. Nah, haven't changed my mind about the devil's tools :) :)
I drive past where @Sh00ter lives quite often and I'm just curious about the rifle. Nosey, actually. :)
Looking forward to it
DM is taking next weekend off (24-26), so Murphy's law they will arrive on the 26th!
i like it being able to shoot 22 through it, happen to have a conversion bolt lying around.
Silly me handed my CMMG .22lr 14" barrel, bolt, charging handle, shell deflector, Black dog mags in, as part of a dedicated AR.
Duh.
Ive ordered the extended 10/30 mag from DM for nostalgia purposes.
@dogmatix what optic are you going to put on your new rifle?
I have Vari-Xiii 3.5-10 LRT M3, the forerunner to the Mark 4 in a Vortex 30mm mount.
More practical than an ACOG.

has anyone have any inside info of how close it's to the landing dates etc? this really reminds me of the old days on the overnight trips, knocking a few goats during the day then at night changes to a 22 bolt for posums.
@holdover
Delta Mike just advised consignment is departing the US on the 11th. Air cargo I believe.
Wonder how long it takes to clear customs etc
Need to get onto a scope. A 3-9 Leupy will work for my situation I think.

Can these things be reloaded without breaking cheek weld?
Can't see why not. As long as you have the carbine stock extended out.
Look at left hand charging Warwick Arms standing.

@dogmatix I asked because the Warwick has the charging handle set up like an ordinary semi auto (except on the opposite side), while the expanded view of the UTAS from the deltamike website makes it hard to understand exactly how it works, it looks like the charging handle is going to need to go back as far as it would with a conventional AR at initial loading, which would require breaking cheek weld. I'm probably missing something.

No you are on the right track.
I don’t have an AR anymore. So can’t check even with a normal charging handle.
You have some on P don’t you?
An ASRA shooter has the Warwick arms straight pull.
Very nice, but the NZ retail price from GUNSNZ is eye watering.
problem solved by pulling stock in 2nd or third position, think no one shoots with stock fully closed.
Some AR-specific optics were designed with the nose-to-charging-handle technique in mind and would not work well with your eye too far back from the optic, some of the prism sights in particular. Either way now that I've noticed this detail I suspect it would bug me, the Warwick might be more appealing.
Good reason to not use an ACOG.
I shoot with my stock fully extended.
Mine is on the way to my local via the dealer network.
Hopefully have an initial unboxing report and range christening report coming soon.
Nice one man, yea I just popped in to local store to grab some fireworks today and they told me they received a call from DM to say my rifle is on the way. Should get it on Friday. Oosh.
i am a bit confused on the order form. i wasnt given any other delivery add so i have put in my own delivery add, arms officer called me to confirm the add and make sure to be home to receive it. but later found out from DM i will be collecting it from transit depot.
Picked mine up this arvo.
Sweet.
Aramex are f**king around with mine, as usual.
First impressions, everything seems very solid and we'll put together. At first the bolt was not engaging all the way so for the first cupla shots I has to use forward assist button. Seemed to have loosened it up, now functioning fine.
I ordered the 10/30 extended mag with it. The shop owner told me he had a few customers puzzled about that when he unboxed it to mount scope haha.
Make sure you lube up the BCG nice and wet. Same as the evil version.
As the charging handle will get used more than the evil version, lube up that and the receiver channel it goes in too.
Courier finally delivered. But lord knows where the subsequent orders for more P-Mags, ALG QMS trigger, Eemann competition trigger spring and a new M-Lok bipod attachment will be delivered by the courier. DM got them away pronto.
As mentioned by others, the factory trigger isn’t too bad for brand new.
I’ve silicone greased the charging handle rod for a smooth movement, but that will wear in anyway.
The buffer spring appears to have been cut down and then stretched out to normal length.
A simple way for reduced spring power for what is now a manual pull.
Overall build quality is around the Spikes/Stag/Aero quality. So middle of the range.
I have mounted the scope way way back to allow you to keep your cheek weld and not hit your nose.
A red dot without such crucial eye relief would be another option.
Let’s see how it groups.
freaking mainfreight is still mucking around with mine, was picked up last friday from invercargill, hopefully today.
