Thread: Vortex Viper problem

So they put it up as a prize? I guess they nearly got away with it

i had a Viper pst FFP, cant say i even had a chance to work with it much. glass looked okay and dialed fine. but after second time shooting on my 308 with it. parts of the reticle fell off and i had a black dot in my vision. cant get rid of it. So I took it back and got a refund. Never trusted Vortex again. It was $1800. Second Gen. The illumination knob was integrated with the parallax adjustment. it is impossible to use. it rips my thumb trying to turn it on. I didn like the design of it. but for the price, that is what you get. That is why they offer a good warranty because they know the quality control is relied on luck. I had a look online after my one went wrong, there seem to be a lot of them with problems.
