Wanted: Black plastic material for butt spacer

I'm needing to make a thick spacer for the butt of my main target rifle. The length of pull is too short for the eye relief of the new March and the scope is as far forward in the rings as it can be.

I need some sort of black plastic/delrin/.. 25mm thick and the outside dimensions will be roughly 110x50. I guess it could also be mowed down from a length of solid cylinder. Getting the material is the only issue.

Any advice or help would be really appreciated.

I've found that Acetal is the easiest to work and is hard enough to get a good finish on it, Don't think I have any but I'll check tonight

Supply Services, Newton Rd, Mount Maunganui. They have an odds and ends bin with all sorts of plastics and nylons, rounds and flat.
    Ring them

I’ve previously used cheap WHITE plastic type chopping boards. Fine jigsaw does the trick. Just do it when the missus is out; believe me!

I have used clear acrylic/perspex to lengthen stocks before. Fit it as per a normal butt pad, and then your butt pad on the end. Then polish off carefully using a shearing grinder or bench grinder. Then remove it and polish the outside of the perspex with Brass so it goes absolutely clear, so you can see right through it and reassemble. Have a pice of 20 mm here, 25mm is easy to source from most plastic suppliers.
