A mate gave me a pair of British military issue water proof socks when he came back from Iraq, they are bloody brilliant for winter time walking through the wet muddy crap, I love them. The sweat is very minimal (not an issue) compared to how much your feet would normally get wet without them.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

A mate has some US Military issue ones that he got down on. Seem to work OK.
Found them on the net but they won't export.

Yep, the Dexshell ones work really well. Breathe able so no problems with sweating

Haven’t had any experience with the bush buck ones but have used the NZArmy ones and sealskins in the past. The NZArmy ones are useless unless your static as they add too much bulk to your foot and the nerves end up getting crushed. The sealskins are much better but are about $80 when I last checked. They do exactly as advertised and kept my feet dry but my feet sweet heaps on walks with work so I had to ensure the distance was short for that day

Have used a pair of nz army goretex ones that you wear over your normal sock, they were great.

Plastic bags (without stupid anti-asphyxiation holes). Bread bags are good.

Sweat no problem as long as you have wool (not cotton!) next to your skin.
