I'm brainstorming at the moment how to get something nice and light, possibly a Howa carbon barreled action sent off to Hi Tec for a carbon stock?

    Very nice!

So I've been tinkering and much like @micky_Duck I have two rifles that need re zeroing/checking.

Changed the scope and rings on the Tikka 7mm08 and it's now at 3.2kg with the suppressor on. Took the viper and Talley rings off and put on a Bushnell elite 3-9x40 with Tikka alloy rings instead.

Took the rem mag apart to weigh the individual parts and if I change to a carbon stock and Talley rings ( replace the Warne steel 30mm ones on there) I would save 730 grams. Change from a Hardy gen 5 stealth to a brake and I'm down another 350 grams. It wouldn't be suppressed anymore but a damn site nicer to carry lol so for an investment of $1200, it'd still be heavier than a Tikka t3
tikka, GWH, Micky Duck and 1 others like this.
