lol I have a 308 590 that I have just put a 308 trg barrel on that I'm keen to use on steel and I have my trusty 6.5x55 that's on its 3rd barrel with its gay camo stock that I actually like now.
my middle boy has a t3 6.5x55 lh with fluted bolt and barrel. my oldest has a shortened t3 in 7/08 that I got an exceptional deal on and my trusty t3 varmint 22-250.
oh and all suppressed!
I am a berreta slut as also have my trg and 85 in 3006 as well.
my 6.5 would have been one of the first in the area and now has quite a following as they keep doing very well in our comps over here.
the 6.5s seem to punch above their weight using the 140 amax and now I'm using the eldx which work well on game and targets.
a good combination when suppressed with high bc projectiles for the recoil shy for longer range shooting.
the figures do the talking as far as that goes.
if the 6.5 can stabilise the new 147g hornady it will up the anti again.
these are out of the box shooters that work well.
I talked to 2 blokes yesterday that are of to giles to get their own 6.5s so the legend is growing!
