Who has there sling on the side of their rifle?

Bt like the more military/AICS stocks with sling studs on the LH or RH side. Any advantage? I was thinking of getting in some flush cups an installing them in a new stock as sling studs piss me off with their annoying little digs, an inability to sit well on a rear bag.
Does the rifle carry just as well on its side, or do they roll and dig the trigger guard/magazine into your back

My opinion is the side slings carry like shit.
Even on my AI it was pretty average with its big flat sides.

Cool, thanks for that. That was what it looked like to me too. Flush cups underneath it is.

I use a Viking Tactics two point quick adjust on my Sako, a Blue Force Gear VCAS on my AR. I like how it virtually eliminates the need for you to "carry" your rifle. Let your shoulders take the weight. Another big plus is unlike other sling ideas your rifle is there ready for you to shoot when you need it. You don't need to ad swivels or anything to your rifle, just get a butt stock adapter and loop the front of the sling over the barrel/forend like this:

Ive ordered a Manners with flush cups mounted underneath and on the left side. Will be interesting to see how they work out. I like the concept.

It wil be a while yet before I get to actually try it though.

Hybrid is the way forward = the scout carries MINT with one under the middle at front and to the side at the back, its sits nice and square against your side

I've been quoted 5 months out of the States but that doesn't worry me because my barrel order is running at 8 months wait time!!

    Stupid wait times!

Tell me what you are wanting. I can probably get it faster and cheaper (if its another R8 barrel).
