    Wife's Christmas Present

This arrived at my dealers last night & the PTA arrived two days ago - Perfect timing - Set it up to-day ready for a test run next week.

    True story:

Bought my wife a Winchester 9410 shotgun for Christmas a few years back - i know very generous.

She had never shot a gun and fired it twice before giving it to me. Some people are hard to please.

For some reason this get thrown back at me as a reason for being a poor husband every now and again.

A selection of groups shot with SK Long Range - Not to scale - Big circles are 1/2" O.D. Bottom row are 3/8" O.D.

Not bad for a brand new gun - She loves this one (and knows how to use it!)

I shot the first 15 shots - She shot the rest - She owns as many guns as I do so will definitely get to shoot it!

Interesting thread. Some comments in jest I know. I have always found it good to have passions which are different. I have always supported my wife’s endeavors in Music, French lessons in France, fully kitted out sewing room with two over lockers and two machines etc etc.

She’s alway supported my passion for hunting and collecting. I think the problem is when funds in the house are low and money could be better spend on necessities rather the buying guns.

So my take is share the money but a degree of separation for hobbies can be a good thing.

Yes, 22LR. That's a Vudoo 360 which shares the Remington 700 short action footprint - Similiar to Vudoo V22, Bergara B14R, Rim X etc. Mags for all of them differ slightly but are AICS design.
I put off going down this road for a long time - Southcity knows I'm pretty old and prefer nice traditional rim fires like Anschutz, Walther, Weihrauch, Cooper etc.
I've been very fortunate in that my wife has always liked the outdoors but she is also a crafty type & indulges herself in many indoor activities.
I made the mistake of buying a B14R and things got a bit out of hand after that!
Here are a few others - All based on the Remington 700:
