    Here’s my go to.

Howa 1500 in 6.5cm with dpt can and a bushnell 4-16x

Choice was easy - first and currently my only rifle! Love it too. Shoots straighter than I can and has already accounted for a good handful of bang flops.

thats about right bro, primers, brass, barrel, powder usage etc. all plays a part. speed is always close to what book max velocity shows.

Tikka 7mm-08 would have to be the most used in the safe, whether I'm after pigs or deer. 15inch barrel, vortex viper 4-16×44, using sako ammo it shoots groups tighter than a Dutchmans wallet. Tikka veil .270 with a vx5 would be 2nd choice for deer if hunting open country. Marlin 30-30 for pig hunting with the pooches. The rest wait patiently in the safe until it's time to change things up

I have a few rifles. But the one I use the most is an ancient BSA Majestic featherweight in .308. The bloody thing was made in 1963. It shoots as well as anything else, it only weighs 7 pounds including the scope on it. It's little and graceful so it even feels lighter. And its a .308 - so it can do anything.

I have other rifles because I like them, or I find them interesting. But when I just need to shoot something, and take care of business, I take the little .308
