1st 2014 hunt out of the way.

    HI Guys
Just a quick report of my first hunt for the new year.
Arrived at spot x at 5am and hunting at 5.30am, didn't take long to find the first deer, a yearling on the side of the track but i missed it. 500m down the track we find a Hind and a fawn feeding of the side of the track so after 15min of watching we move on, round the corner pull a camera in and move on to the tussock clearing, spy another Hind and Fawn who scarper after i watch for a couple of minutes.
Spook a stag of some description later on just of the side of the track in a nice clearing and then get a call from my mate that he has nailed a hind that appears to be free of fawns.
Carting her out the dog "SID" starts winding in a spot he had winded on the way in so i have a stalk and find some wee pigs, i look for the sow but shes to cunning i feel to get caught out like her young.
In total 7 deer seen and maybe an 8th and 5 pigs with a possible 6th.
Great first hunt for the new year.

1st pic is off a hind and her yearling but its to far for the rino to take a good pic.

Sid on point, i was told it is a sky lark but i have no idea. Was cool to see though.

    Cheers Men

Wow what a lot of animals you see at spot X. Does that spot require a key? LOL

What a fantastic trip. Thanks for that.
