That probably happens more than people realise. They find a dead dead and don't even think to take a look around for others. Saw it on a hunting video where the guy lined up on a fallow and got it, but one in the background staggered and ran off on three legs.
I got two with one shot with a 222. Both through the neck. Complete accident. The good bit was that I had two witnesses. So I just played along with it being planned.

@berg243 Interestingly, on my travels as I cut around the top of the ridge that those deer were on Tilly stopped and winded into the upcoming breeze and I thought "I cant be bothered going down there". It would have been the ones I shot. As it turned out they would have been easier meat by stalking down the ridge then and there rather than having to cut back later on.

I never said, but there were 2 other deer that appeared after I fired. I always glass around for a few minutes to see if anything else has been disturbed and after a minute or so one ran down through the clear, and I could see a deer staring around just inside the bush on the bottom of the clearing. So there were actually 4 there at least.

@Nathan F I didn't get to sleep until 2am Tuesday morning because of cramp. There is always a price to pay, regardless of taking magnesium and a hand full of various "keep me alive and healthy" pills. But yeah, keep that weight off, eh. Even to just avoid diabetes later in life.

I have trouble with cramp these days also , quite severe sometimes and have not found any remedies apart from staying hydrated and a bit of extra salt in my meals . Cheers

I take magnesium which Im not so sure about. Magnesium lineament seems to relieve it though. I must get back to taking electrolytes during the day, because in the past that has helped.
I also take ant-inflammatories and I think that they compound the cramp. Just a theory though.

Well done. I’ve shot a yearling with recoil looked up and thought I had missed, shot again and found two yearlings 3 metres apart.

@Tahr you should try these, 99% sugar free which I like as a lot of electrolytes have a lot of sugar. https://www.chaseandgather.com/gear/...lete-hydration
