    Boy's First carry.

This is not much of a story as I have to shoot off to work soon. But I thought I would just put a couple of pictures up as I took my middle son for a hunt in the weekend. A) because I needed some venison. B) because i had a new rifle that I wanted to blood.. Its a Brno Fox in .222 in mint condition. and C) just because.

I don't know what ammo I'm shooting as I was just given heaps of random handloads and factory ammo from a mate that used to have a .222. They seem to do the job well though. After a quick sight in with a group of the same looking stuff I was getting under an inch at 100 yards, so I thought "That will do me".

Anyway on the first evening of the hunt we came across a group of yearling hinds and soon enough the Fox had its first victim. I was a rapt dad when Connor asked if he could carry it back! I was pretty surprised as he is only 8! So I said go for it and he did just that. There were a few slips and trips on the way but he got there.

The other photos are of the Fox's 2nd and 3rd victims.

    Fantastic Kudu
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Gosh that boy is shooting up. It's been nice seeing his progress from not much more than a baby to a young lad carrying stuff.
Families that play together, stay together, eh.
