My pick by the flat spot on one edge of the base and the good mushroom on the front is that the it had gone through a rabbit ricocheted and lodged in the cat who was stalking the same rabbit.

This is the exact reason I've dropped some additional dollars on the CCI Subsonic segmented rounds. The segments don't fly too far / well, after hitting something compared to a 40gn lump of lead.
