Ken Tustin would be well worth a chat to. Good sort to put it mildly. A true gentleman and a outright nice guy all round.

You'd think with today's technology we'd find evidence, i guess its just so vast the tech can't be everywhere at once.

Interestingly ive just got a book out of the library about the west coast area of Kokatahi Kowhiterangi -inland from Hokitika and it has a detailed section on the moose liberations and their subsequent antics .
    \
To summarise some preferred human company and it was a bugger of a job to return them to the intended area ,at least one needing about 3 repeated efforts .yes one old cow lived her life around a remote farm up there after she beat the human efforts .very interesting and amusing .me Im a believer and whats more given the extensive pakihi/ scrub areas on the coast Id like to see another release of fresh bloodlines .

Kaiangaroa in the North Island would have been better habitat for moose -- I have always wondered where they let the axis deer go did not last long apparently

Apparently one of the cows in the coast liberation took a shine to an unsuspecting prospector .the first he knew was when the tent flap flew open and "hello big boy".Unable to get her out of the love nest ,he took refuge in a large nearby tree until some locals arrived and removed the lovelorn animal returning it to its proper location .
Not untypical apparently because a lot of that group particularly cows periodically showed up on local farms or as one bright individual did ,taking up residence on a main road .the bulls -a lot more solitary apparently one even being sighted at the base of the browning pass (coast side ).this lasted from 1900 -1912 although there are reports of at least one supposed sighting after this . interesting all the same. If your lady love has a large probiscus ,long eyelashes and sharp hooves Id be discretely checking her out and planning a rapid exit!
furthermore if she starts a continuopus low level mewing /grunting in the fartsack ,run like hell and lock yaself in ya man cave cause to stay would see things happen even a hardened waikato drinker would choke over!you have been warned!!!

Have any of you guys seen that American program where they search for Bigfoot? Just substitute “moose” in for “squatch”.

Bigfoot didn’t need to be liberated, they were there all the time, right. And I would like to see you try and convince those nut sacks that they aren’t real. They’ve got their mating calls on video after all.

some of those yanks look like they were sired by bigfoot!at least its not like a certain infamous yank whse appearance and behaviour would suggest an orangutang breeding line or a adolescent orang out spreadin dem oats! these blokes would be no good in our bush -ol buck possum pisses on em and WW3would break out ,old willie shatner would make a whole series of the unexplained based on it . Bear Grylls of course would open mouth and drink it!
