Canadian tourists have probably prompted each other to wind up the locals.

The Kepler track, lol.
Well if they do exist, it's only a matter of time until we get a picture given that was two sightings in 1 month.
I shot this Fallow buck in Canada.

Can we take that down and mount it to a tree near the keplar track....?
I still want to believe!
Next we will have a tramper claiming they saw a Moa…
The Kepler is an awful long way from Wet Jacket. But it seems these folk are pretty credible ... I'd love to think the moose are still around.
Rule 1) whenever you see something, or think you see something do not tell the Department of Corruption about it...
They are likely already planning how they can spend 50 million to track the moose down and eradicate it.
My guess is the tourists have been told the story of the Fiordland moose and have just decided to have a bit of fun by saying they saw one.
99% of tourists have a phone or camera on them with quick access to it to take photos.Give me 10 seconds,I could get my phone out of my inside jacket top pocket and take a photo.Il beleave there's moose when there's a 2025 photo.
-seems interesting thats its Canadians seeing this these mooseys -- now they will be familiar with a moose and likely elk but are they familiar with red deer - no likely not - so how about they saw a red stag in poor light wet muddy they would look a very dark colour and big just sayin
Did they see the whole animal or just the knuckle?

Bunji's dissapearance is actually explained by his persistant search for the Moose. He will not return until a living specimen is wrangled back alive by himself on foot.
Till then we wait... :ORLY:
So if they exist and you seen one would you shoot it or let it live ??
For me I'm shooting it dead I'll take being hated for shooting the last one at least I'd be believed
What sort of scientific approach has been taken?
For the Sika cull in Northland they seem to be able to know everything about them through scat and hair and water sampling. How many, where they come from, family groups and all manner information. Even now down to the number left (which is very few).
I know its different with moose cos there isn't physical evidence, but science must be able to tell us something?
yeah I dunno Thar - science cant seem to be able to find a bloke and 3 children at Marakopa but then are they looking seems not
As a 17yr old, this city boy went on his very first hunting trip into the awe inspiring Ureweras.
My first question was if I saw a moa, do I shoot it?
I was told by the oldest (and wisest) of our party.
If you see one and shoot it, they'll lock you up.
And if you see one and tell anyone, they'll lock you up.
Mum's the word. I never saw one.
Original poster I would like nothing better than a real sighting.
Then what happens?
Would it get believed though with all the new ai tec .... I'd love to try some 70 yo moose lol
I find it hard to believe in. The sort of thing you hope and wish is still around, but the amount of apparent 'sitings' and still no photo in the current day and age is telling
no dont believe they are protected - but we will want photos and a full write up of the hunt
