    One of those hunts

Hey everyone, here is a quick video I put together from an evening hunt that took place early last year. Nothing flash just some raw footage. You will see it wasn’t the best shooting day on the hill but hopefully it helps you pass another 10minutes or lockdown time. Stay safe, Dylan.

Can’t 100 percent remember the range but I think it was about 400ish. I don’t think elevation was too far off as I was trying
to get the projectile to enter behind that shoulder with the deer being on the slight downwards angle. None the less, another day being schooled by the wind..

Good that you found her, do you not dial for windage? I find it easier than trying to hold off, that way you can aim where you want to hit.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

@Mooseman not too sure, it would have been blowing pretty good in the middle of the valley though.
@outdoorlad Yea I prefer to hold for wind

Thanks for the positive feedback all

Good effort locating her and putting her out of her misery.

Its happen to me once before, and it's a horrid feeling in the gut of your stomach. You only learn from these errors and make better informed decisions next time.

Hey Dylan that would have been a huge relief to you catching up with that hind ,well done. After thirty odd years of mostly bush hunting i am just starting to get into this long range stuff with my 7mrm , and i can say its been an eye opener when shooting at a target just how much even a light breeze effects the bullet. cheers Ian
