Some years back I wrote a report on a trip up there. It was called Change, In which I found out about the plans for the Rangi hut and how for those of us who liked to get away from others, there were not many options left. Somehow I read your report and it made me smile. Maybe that little corner is a place for the young and fit for a little longer. I know the venison I hauled from those faces and valleys always tasted a little sweeter for the work that went into procuring it.
