You can stretch a 223 out even further on a nice still day.

Here's a recent effort of mine with a 69gr TMK @ 2960ft/s. Range was 615m :).

Yeah ..good one mate....not with a 56grn.....nice shot

Great trip, Rod filled me in on the hunt, must get down there with you guys one day. Rod is here now ready to go hunt Sika Wednesday so we are hoping the weather settles which it is supposed to.
Some nice shooting there Bruce 400 + yds is a fair way for a 223.

Great pics and write up Tahr. I love the blue suppressor cover, even if it is just insulation tape. Might do the same on a couple of my ones :)

I use the Belmont ammo with the same 55gr hornady sp.
Kills well and accurate.

The 56 grn Geco Ive only used out to 300 yds odd using a Savage Lightweight and Nightforce 3-10 SHV that they are sighted in for.

The Geco ammo in the Savage flattened this Fallow at 176 yds on the same trip.

The 308 Targex shoots good as well
