Thread: Aakron Boat trailers

Anyone had experience with this brand?
My trailer is knackered so up for a new one.
These are considerably cheaper than the top end brands so just wondering if they are value for money or cheap crap.
I'm tossing up whether to rebuild mine. But the speed at which I seem to do things would mean I'd be without a trailer for a while.
Buying a cheapy and flicking it after the rebuild is also an idea.
Any advice appreciated.

They are at the cheaper end of the design scale. Box section instead of C section, and no reinforcement for the bending moment of the chassis rails up by the bow of the boat. But if the boat is not too heavy, and you still intend to rebuild the old girl and flick the new one, once its back up and running then they look as good as any other low to medium cost option.

Got one for my 3.4 m rib several years ago. Going strong. Heavier boat, what XR500 said.

Got one in June for my 6m Lazercraft. Really happy so far. Ride better than the original aluminium trailer.

Ive had one for 3 years trailer has been fine the wiring for lights was shit had to pull it apart and re do it to get lights working. Have a 5.8m ramco on it.
Just about died when voyager gave me a quote for a new trailer.
