Yip. Those sports side x sides have insane levels of power and suspension travel (latest have 2 foot of travel) all wrapped up in a 650kg package.

Trouble is, to keep the cost down all the critical parts of the Chassis and suspension are mild steel and standard alloy. Not a single piece of Chrome moly to be seen. So when you (not if!) prang it there's lots of bent and buggered pieces as a result.

But yes, they certainly peel the ol eyelids back when you give them the full welly.

Went through the same issue of upgrading from a quad Bruce. Ended up with a 2nd hand Wolverine X2 fitted out pretty well for your budget. Was easier just to upgrade the trailer to fit. Still preferred a single axle for ease of moving around the section etc which meant being able to go with a tipper which is useful. Depending on the trailer it pays to reverse on due to the weight loaded to the rear with the engine etc back there. Only way I can get the trailer deck down on this one anyway

Nice set up. Yes, I reverse my SXS onto my trailer single axle to keep the weight closer to the tow bar. Having a non tilt I have a purpose built ramp - Heaven brand trailer 8-5 NZ built.

Be careful towing your side buy side backwards its hard on them especially the windows and guards.

Hear what your saying, usually mirrors turned in but that's about it. No issues for quite a while now.

You are spoiled through your lack of mud on that country.

Nice. How many hours/KM did it have on it?

38hrs so bugger all. Probably got it a bit under market value with all the guff on it. They go really well with good engine braking in low ratio for the steep descents. A 3 seater would be handy, I like the Honda Pioneer 1000s but too much coin to get into a tidy one of those with some gear on it.

Mainly river, creek crossings down here Tahr. But the extended mud flap accessory does keep it clean!

Bloody things. Dodged a bullet. Bit sore but no damage to the bod. Living life on the edge at the moment. Got it back onto its feet after 1.5 hrs and retrieved it this morning. Rode it out.

Bloody hell Bruce, ease up a bit, I want to see you later in the year. Glad you're OK though.

Bloody hell Bruce take care of yourself. Situations like that can very easily go one of two ways.

Ferk, scary situation. Down here on the coast my biggest concern is getting stuck or drowning the bike. Quads are so versatile and can get you easily into dangerous territory.

And I hope to see you!
Luckily the mud buffered me and I wriggled out. I was stuck to about my waist under the thing. Rang the cocky and he came and got me. They looked after me royally.
