Simple Green. It'll smell nice afterwards too.

yeah last service for my RAV collected it and got down to H+ F and when I came out damn thing sounded strange - lifted bonnet and bugger me oil everywhere - the filler cap was of but was still under bonnet thankfully - obviously not tightened properly - got home out with can de greaser - hosed of engine but next day Rav ran like bucket of crap - took it back to me little local garage -water damage down sparkplugs - Mechanic was neat said our fault and I got whole new set plugs free of charge -Quote:

The cheap degreaser from SCA or Repco works well for removing diesel/oil.
If it's on sensitive components then the CRC electrical contact cleaner works great but it's expensive (like 6x the price of degreaser).
