if wreckers get hold of them the parts will fly far n wide ,the issues will spread. panel beaters could well salvage MOST OF the panelwork and you could argue wreckers could do so too....but where does the line get drawn??? and how does it get enforced????
if not able to be parted out,and actually even if it is,where does all the rest of car go???? landfill...... seeing images of all the household stuff chucked out....all our cloths and bedding are gone,we need new sheets...ummmmm so when your kids shat the bed,did you go and buy new sheets or did you wash them ?????
when kids came home off sports field on wet weekend did the uniforms all get binned or washed ready for next weekend????
flood waters may well be carrying all manner of goodies n floaties..but its clothing and bedsheets FFS...it will come out in the wash.
About the only stuff that won't get recycled (if it's not fit for sale) is the plastics and seats
