looks like campervans in the foreground and catamarans in the background
Could you be more specific as to what you want info on?
The two cats in the background.
Micheal Hills new toy apparently. 40m Cat that’s not two but one in two pieces for transporting.
Big fuck off boat built local, had it roll down the road the other night in front of me.
Heading north or south.
It's a great big boat that has been built for Michael Hill (Jeweller). My understanding is that it was built in Palmy in two halves and has been transported to Foxton to be joined together and floated.
My relief milker lives in Foxton Beach and today his road has been closed and his power disconnected to allow the boat to come through.
Who built it

Pretty cool mobile home on the back of that truck.
Our apprentice at work did some of the wiring as a placement.
They did one about 3 yrs ago, oil rig tender or such. Go to beach huh, it’s changed a lot since the 70s!!!

Yep it's a big mother. Been watching it on the cam for a while. Surely they wont be going out in the dark so must be going in the morning ?
Camo colours aye, has anyone figured out who owns it yet
10 points for being a blind git then :yarr:
He is obviously still making a crapload of money
No way that’s a $100 million boat. When I was in the game they were $1 million per meter to build, and that’s USD. It’s been a few years now but that’s lucky to be 50m.
A 40 meter boat at that is 40 million usd which is nearly 60 million nzd.. add inflation, higher labour costs and a lot more fancy electronics etc I think you will find that 100 million is pretty close.
Years ago I had the pleasure of an evening out on one of Micheal Hills old boats for a xmas function, (I was going out with one of his workers at the time)
A very memorable evening.. even with the copious amount of wine consumed..
Is he going after pirates? Funny to have Camo paint on your boat. Not my choice simply if your in the shit out there why make it harder to find.
Then again that would have a rather big radar signature.
High tide at 11 AM is float off tomorrow, sitting on airbags.
50m apparently. Hoping to get an invite
Saw this a few weeks ago when I was in foxton for a wedding. Absolutely massive. Apparently its going to be rented out to groups of people for around $4000 a night per person
He will probably make a fortune chartering it out for the Americas' Cup, for the races he doesn't want to watch.
I would say 4K would buy you a couple of hours of runtime :)
I'd have thought it's more laid out like a research vessel than a superyacht. Something for James Cameron to strap his submarine to perhaps?
Watched it going over the bar on Saturday.
