I generally clock up 45-55,000Km on an average year up and down the country.
Been through a lot of different brands and models of tyres- but have landed on the Maxxis AT 811's for the Hilux, and really rate them.
Quiet on the road, bloody good performance off road. I'm at around 60K on this set and only 2/3rds worn.

They'll pull up fast when you hit the brakes in a hurry.

Will go the same again when I need to put a new set on

I think you should look seriously at the Falken Wildpeak at as well. Fantastic value and tyre.

Thanks I'll get the couple of places I'm dealing with to quote them too.

I'm doing an alignment n rotation every 10 thou for 120ish bucks a visit 7x120=840. I wonder if I'm better off doing a fraction of the alignments getting slightly less out of my tires and saving the cash for the next set

Update: Just scratched 50 thousand out of the wranglers before they were too dangerous to drive. Falken wildpeak's on now. Fuel economy has dropped a couple points already and is lighter in the steering. Got a 80 thou warranty through mag and turbo so should be interesting

So yesterday I got a flat tyre. Once I pulled it off I found the sidewall cut and the tyre is stuffed. Anyone got a WILDPEAK AT3W 116T in 265/65/17 that's done 10-15k. Apparently there is none left in nz.

    Anyone using the AT4W?
