Sorry not updating a reply sooner.
Firstly i sprayed the offending window with spray on oil / CRC / WD40 and using a spatula between the glass and the door rubber trying to get oil down into the mechanism inside the door, Maybe it was rusty inside the door?
Secondly the Great Wall of rust developed a crack in the front window screen, When i went to the glass repairer i got him to take the drivers internal panel off....no rust in the window mechanical parts.
Then magically sometime the window would work up and down and sometimes didn't. Then strangely if i had the drivers door wide open the window would go up and down flawlessly.
Next stage take it to an auto electrician..... The words of wisdom being the problem is most likely in the wiring loom / harness?
Then back to the dealer for price on parts etc.....Covid 19 wait times etc ?
At the moment i have just left it and use that drivers window sparingly,,,...The car has recently got a WOF but the car is reaching the end of its economical life?
Great Wall cars would i buy one again, probably not. Next car to buy maybe a Toyota Highlander hybrid model?
