That's a very fair point, be a bastard to hit a pothole and find the safe has dropped clean through... The Police fitout in the back of their vehicles are (I believe) a hardened metal which is thinner and therefore lighter than the usual house spec safe. Could be an option to look into, as it would be advantageous to make the thing as light as possible given the spec and requirements.
