    Saw that one also and thought the same. The old man brought a second hand vx Ltd 2003 model and sold it in about 2006 with about 70,000km on the clock and got about 65k I think

    As a 80 series owner myself the Toyota brand/reputation and resale as a 4wd offroad vehicle has been irreparably damaged by the "sheep shagger" , while this has nothing to do with the 80/100 series the 200+percent parts cost over a ln106 hilux is a joke.

    I would not expect any 20+year sheepshagger to be commanding near purchase price in the future.

    Ok well I drove one today.
    1999 been owned buy the same guy since new, no towing, no off roading.
    Inside is a bit beaten but Dam they drive nice
    So now I have one.........

    @BRADS is a 20+ sheep shagger, I reckon a good looking man like himself commands a good price?

    On a serious note, any one got a dash fan/temp controller for a 80 series I can borrow to do some fault finding? @shift14, @veitnamcam. .....

    99 is a 100 series with beam axle front end, rare specifically for the Australian market that didn't want a weak as piss independent front end.
