    Updating your exisiting bulbs (if H4) to the 80/100watt version is brilliant - I have it - BUT you should upgrade your lighting loom at the same time.

    Also check what your reflectors etc are made of - I think the 80/100s are glass only unless the headlight is specifically rated. The heat is the issue

    LEDs? Think colour temperature also. Try to see the lights in the dark, that you’re looking at - there’s a whole plethora of varying colour temperatures, which produce a resulting difference beam in both (perceived) intensity and colour tint (cold blue to warm yellow etc.

    There are others more knowledgeable than me here - just try to see the options in the flesh so to speak
