I have both razr A/T and M/T, both are excellent tyres.

I'm not wildly impressed with my RAZR MTs. 33x10.5R15 on an old Lux. Getting almost to the point they're stuffed after 24,000km. Pretty sad after ~100k km from the previous BFG KO2s, I know muddies won't last as long but it's pretty dismal

this is also with a set of 5 tyres and rotating the spare through

I've done at least 30ks on mine so far and they're still good. But then I also have a 2nd set of ATs I use for everyday use and only put the muddies on for hunting and 4wd trips.
I have farm customers getting over 60ks out of a set and they get a lot of gravel road use which can shag a set very quickly.

Try TyreMaxx direct. They're the Maxxis distributor and have a retail store on site here in chch in Wigram

I've been running Bridgestone AT Revo 3. 275/55/20 on my VW. They are not a mud tire but an AT. I have done almost 60k on them and they are still in great condition given that I work then quite hard on the road. Quiet running and drive well on the road. I only use them "offroad" on gravel Roads and Farm tracks. (Mix of clay and brown rock.)
Definitely cheaper than the Cooper 285/50/20 that it came with but they are still not cheap.
I found the Coopers quite slipery on wet roads but I changed them off not because they had run out of tread but because I picked up a couple of punctures in close succession. (one was a stone)

I’m running the Razr AT811s on my new truck and have been very happy with them. I had cheap M/T on my old truck and decided the amount of times I needed the M/T didn’t justify how scary there were on the road for majority of my driving. The Razr is nice and quiet, very happy with dry and wet performance and wear is looking good at 25k so far. Do notice them not performing as well when things get slippery off-road but for the most part they do what I need. Looking at a set of chains to just off-set any need for a M/T

Old forum, but have ran the goodyear wrangler duratrac and they were great on and off the road. Also had a pair of firestone destination at and they were great as a gravel/on road tyre with a bit of off road thrown in, 60k out of them.

Anyone tried the Triangle TR292s? I need a new set on our SUV but I'm struggling to justify the extra for decent tyres because I don't know how long we will be hanging on to it... I don't mind compromising on road noise or mileage, but definitely don't want to compromise on safety. Mostly on-road, but it often goes places it probably shouldn't

I wouldn't even put triangles on my ex girlfriends car

Ha - sounds like there are some experiences behind a statement like that!

Someone quoted the GiTis to me as well, they just look a bit weird.

Hey Rob, I have Savero A/T tyres on my old Prado. They are excellent on and off road with great road holding for a constant 4wd suv. Not expensive
