I like the idea of the Inios.
One pf the guys in the local 4wd club has one and although early days yet he seemed very happy with it when I had a chat.
Maybe Owl got a Friday afternoon one and some of his gripes seem to be service related like perhaps his dealership is not the best ?
There is absolutely nothing on the market you can buy that is comparable, you would spend 20k on upgrading a new landcruiser to get close.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

....better to spend it on a Landcruiser than spend it on a tow truck multiple times

So I watched the full video, and looks like I nailed it here.
Most of those issues (annoying as it is to happen on a new vehicle) would’ve been quickly sorted by a good dealer, which is probably going to be hard to find in NZ. The airbox being loose after removal is also not surprising.

The damaged ABS rotor and stone chips on side rails are interesting.
I wonder if it’s down to NZ shitty chipseal roads, thus a relatively rare occurrence during their initial testing?
I’ve never had stones get stuck in weird places off-roading or on farm races, but drive down a freshly sealed road and it’s a different story.

We seem to be the only country that's thinks painting the road black and then dumping stones on it is a repair or resurface

I shitted my pants under a Mahindra years ago so my view is tainted. Had to get one of my Indian lackies to pull me out by the ankles and hose me down.

I was very seriously looking at buying a Grenadier, went up to Auckland and test drove one with a VERY pushy sales person that just wanted a decision on the spot, to the point where some serious discounts were offered . I went home and joined up to the Inneos owners Facebook group to do more research to find the number of people complaining about exactly the same sort of dumb issues like this was crazy, all low km stupid issues that would need a trip back to the dealer to sort (5 hours away...). Bloody glad I gave it a miss in the end.

Out of interest, what made you consider buying it over a well known brand, eg Toyota, Nissan, maybe Land Rover if your that way inclined?

Just the tougher more utilitarian design, I liked the interior with pre wired switches, the safari windows, good engine options, diff locks as an option and the prices I was being offered one for was cheaper than what I could get the others for but with that "different" look I like. I'm not usually one to go for the norm.
