A lot have been sold over here and most seem happy with them. This vehicle could be a flier, need another 9 to judge the group!

Plenty of reviews on u tube to gauge them.

The nivas were great wagon...the biggest issue was that people saw dif lock and thought it was a cross lock...nope it simple put chang d it from one wheel spinning = stuck to two wheels spinning = stuck..... And we took mates one a lot of places and only got stuck twice. Cheap, reliable and simple.... I learnt to drive in a J1 Bedford and a 109 long wheel base Landrover..... Mum had mark 3 Cortina and later the Bedford died and we got Mazda B1600 ute...... So yeah I got used to simple....it just works, and you work to what it will and won't do.

There was a video from Andrew St Pierre White where he went over all the issues he had with his new 70 series troopy.

Unfortunately there does seem to be some lemons from all manufacturers, my main concern with the Ineos is if there will actually be enough people who know anything about them to properly diagnose problems.
And dealers who actually give a crap about this small new brand.

The best 4x4's are all still 30-40 years old, trouble is finding one in good shape for a good price.

We had a Niva in Oz when I was a young fella, cost the old man $1300 at auction and the worst thing that ever happened to it was a timing chain tensioner wore out on it. $40 in parts and half a day on the driveway to fix it, back running again. If the bastard things weren't so rare and sought after by weirdo's driving the price up I'd have one in a flash.

yes maybe the old niva was the better of a bad bunch- worst I drove was our bedford 4wd fire truck at Kaitaia- to get it out from 4wd was a mission- truck had to be on dead flat ground and then one slowly rocked it backwoods and fowards in reverse gear while applying so much pressure on the lever that ones arse nearly popped - hated it with a passion - a nice young lady from Wairoa had a lada niva - was outside the motor camp shop at Waikaremoana in it - I gave her a lada joke and she floored me with this one - whats the difference between getting into that lada and putting your hand up my skirt not much she said you both feel a big ( yes the c word ) - and she was such a sweet looking thing
