Have had both blackduck and rugged valley in two different utes that were proper work utes and neither lasted more than 12 months without the drivers seat giving up. Have a set of generic repco canvas fronts only in my Colorado (my "not on the farm everyday" ute) and they're built way better than either of the fancy name ones and fit just as good

Rugged Valley for me. 10 years old, no major issues. Think a small amount of stitching came undone, but local canvas man sorted for free.

Haha nah you'd think sometimes they've got superglue on there though as get a bit reluctant to get out of the truck when it's cold and wet.
But heaps of getting in and out, sometimes dirty and wet etc puts them through their paces and I'm yet to be sold on the name brand ones being that great compared to the "cheaper" repco ones I have.
Have rugged valley seat covers on our quads also and they've all busted the seams within 12 months, cheap no name ones from the suzuki dealer we had beforehand lasted much better. The canvas they use just isn't actually that heavy and the seams on drivers seats are always the first to go. Probably last ok in a truck that's not used for work and might have someone hop in and out of it a couple times a day only

It looks like the options are Black Duck, Rugged Valley and Workproof.

What say you all - any good or bad experiences out there?
I tried workproof on my 2008 KUN Hilux, very poor fit so I returned them, got a set of Rugged Valley and they fit like a glove, been on for nearly two years and like many people I actually use my ute as nature intended so it gets dealt to by man and dog covered in mud, shit, blood and sawdust...still going strong, I was just thinking the other day about taking them out for a trip through the washing machine....wrong time of year but..

I think the fit might be a real key to getting good life out of the covers. The Tolley kodra ones were a pest to get on the first time, but unlike the cheapy stretchy knit ones they have stayed tight. I've only perched on the Black Duck and Rugged Valley offerings so no idea what fitting them is like.

I got some lifetime guarantee ones for the wife's Outlander from Repco - they seem OK but things like the pocket on the back of the driver's seat hasn't survived the kids and the stretchy knit stuff is looking a bit knaff already after a little over three years. Apart from some arse shaped sweat marks as I said I can't complain about the Tolley offering in my vehicle - it hasn't done much work compared to the work hacks but with a 2" lift the seats get hit a little harder than most covers do and they've held up to that.

I put canvas Rugged Valley front seats in my Navara King Cab in 2010 and they're still going strong.
