If I were you, I’d work out with model and engine codes you’re looking at, and then spend some time looking at the reliability indexes. Not trim codes, the proper codes. The 2.0L bi-turbo is YN2S. The reliability indexes do not lie.
The problem with forums is you get outliers making the most noise, one guy that had a terrible experience can influence the entire discussion.
My 2c worth - the 3.2 five cylinder (SA2W) is far preferred on the major industrial sites in Australia. However, there’s no denying the 2.0 drives nicely on the road with it’s 10-speed auto box (10R80)……………. However………….. It is the complexity of this gearbox that would totally put me off buying one of these vehicles out of warranty.
That’s a clue as to what you need to be researching.
