Thread: winch rope

once i got home form my last adventure i was washing the gravel out of the firbes and noticed that the rope got caught between my new anchor point and the winch bar (what happens when you try winching a truck out backwards) and cut a few fibres, same spot that has rubbed on a few rocks over the last few years, still happy to use it for light work but can see it becoming an issue if things get serious so figure i had better get it swapped out.

now need to find a few good you tube videos and work out how to slice eyes in each end to use it as an extension instead of having my old original steel cable in the back of the truck (already have an extension strap) as we all know however much extension you have the tree you need to winch off it always a few inchs more than the rope you have
