flat spots should disappear, if it concerns you just wriggle the rope and soften it up and you should be able to get its shape back. dyneema tends to get flattened on the winch drum as it is best to criss cross it rather than spool it on like wire rope. If spooled on tidily it can cut down through the layers and jam when under big loads.
If you remove a section you could use it to try and make yourself a soft shackle. That will kep you occupied for hours.
