    Badlands 2200 pack?? Any good??

    Anyone got one of these?

They look comfortable and I like the rifle carrying system. Maybe they are a bit heavy? How does the meat flap work?

I'm after a bit more comfort for carrying meat and like the idea of having both hands free for a walking pole and the Zimmer frame. Also they look to have plenty of pockets (for prescription pill bottles etc )

    Any feedback appreciated?

They are on sale in the States for USD160.

    Thanks

Had one for a few years. Bought it off a forum member fairgame new.

Highly rate it. Only thing I would improve on it is a few extra small pockets.

Very comfortable with a load. Haven't used the meat flap. Easy to take apart and wash in a machine.
I don't think it is heavy or I haven't noticed.

I have the badlands bumbag. Excellent quality and warranty.

IMHO at that price you can’t go wrong....

Yep I've had one for a few years now. Very comfortable with a heavy load. Took it into the kaimanawas on sunday for a night. I think its probably a bit little for an overnight. I had tent strapped to the bottom. in the pack was a little thermarest, sleeping bag, spare long johns, cooker, gas, water bottle, knife, pouch and binos. not much room for anything else. probably didn't need the Binos but I like to use them in the bush when sitting on a spot for a while. I've also never used the meat safe thing. Only deer I've shot when I had the pack were both close enough to base to go back to.
Very good as a day pack but almost to big. To me it sort of sits in between a day back and an overnight pack.

I think best use would be as a day pack in the hills carrying a bit of gear for spotting and a boil up.
In saying that its a very good back with lots of pockets, you just need to be mindful of what you take and put in it.
    Hope that helps
